Lion has created a comprehensive global range of USAR products for fire and rescue services which extends significantly beyond protective clothing and offers an annual test and maintenance service, if required by the customer.
Lion has developed a clothing system, constructed using a lightweight, inherently flame-retardant fabric. The system comprises of three complementing design variances:
- A one-piece coverall style garment as the base level.
- A two-piece option constructed to be worn as an alternative to the one-piece garment as the operational circumstances demand.
- Additionally, a further level of protection is provided consisting of over-jacket and over-trouser to add further protection to either the one-piece or two-piece option.
The system also includes protective boots, gloves, and helmet:
- Boots: Fire Flash Gamma boot made by Haix®. This boot offers EN345 level of protection, as well as the added feature of Class 1 chain saw protection.
- Gloves: reflect the very latest developments in technical rescue gloves, offering high levels of protection and dexterity.
- Helmet: Lion has included two different styles of helmets designed to meet the specific needs of USAR work.
